A Mother's Day tribute to the women who shape our lives and our faith

"Her children rise up and call her blessed." — Proverbs 31:28
"Her children rise up and call her blessed." — Proverbs 31:28

There is a love in this world that mirrors the very heart of God - steadfast, sacrificial, and unshakeable. It is the love of a mother. This Mother's Day, we at First Pentecostal Church of Titusville pause to honor, celebrate, and give thanks for every woman who has poured herself into the beautiful, holy work of motherhood.

Whether you rocked a baby through sleepless nights, drove carpool for what felt like a thousand years, cheered from the bleachers, or whispered prayers over a child's bedside, your love has left a mark on eternity. And today, we celebrate you.

A Love Like No Other

Mothers carry a unique and sacred calling. From the moment a child enters their lives, something shifts - a fierce, tender devotion takes root that no circumstance can uproot. We see it in the mothers of our congregation: women who show up, sacrifice quietly, and love loudly through every season of life.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."

— Proverbs 31:25

This verse could have been written about the mothers sitting in our pews. They are strong in the face of hard days, dignified in the chaos of family life, and full of a joyful, Spirit-filled hope that lights up every room they enter.

The Gift Mothers Give

The gifts of a mother are too many to count, but some shine brighter than most:

🙏Faithful Prayer

Mothers intercede without ceasing, covering their families before God's throne.

❤️Unconditional Love

A mother's love endures through every failure, milestone, and in-between moment.

🕊️Wisdom & Grace

The quiet counsel of a godly mother shapes character that lasts a lifetime.

🌟Steadfast Presence

Through every storm and celebration, mothers simply show up, and that changes everything.

To Every Kind of Mother

Today we celebrate mothers in every form. We honor the mothers who carried children in their bodies and the mothers who carried children in their hearts through adoption and foster care. We celebrate grandmothers who stepped in when it mattered most, and the aunts, mentors, and spiritual mothers who spoke life into young hearts.

A word for those whose hearts are tender today

We also hold space today for those who grieve, women longing to be mothers, those who have lost a child, and those who have lost their own mother. You are seen, you are loved, and you are wrapped in the grace of this community. May God's comfort meet you in the tender places this season.

Rooted in Titusville, Growing in Faith

Here at FPC Titusville, we are blessed beyond measure by the mothers in our midst. You are the ones who bring your children through our doors week after week, who lead by example in worship, who serve quietly in ways the world may never see. Your faithfulness is not invisible to God, and it is not invisible to us.

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

— Proverbs 22:6

Every time you pray with your children, open the Word at the dinner table, or bring them to a house of worship, you are planting seeds that will bear fruit for generations to come. That is a legacy more precious than gold.

Thank You, Mom

To every mother in the FPC family, thank you. Thank you for your sacrifices seen and unseen. Thank you for your prayers that have carried this community. Thank you for the laughter, the late nights, the wisdom shared over kitchen tables, and the example of a life lived in pursuit of God.

You are treasured. You are celebrated. And today, on behalf of your church family, we rise up and call you blessed.

Happy Mother's Day from FPC Titusville 🌷
