“In your anger do not sin: Do not let the
sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”
Ephesians 4 : 26 – 27 ( NIV)
Devotional Thought
Conflict is not a sign of failure. Avoidance is.
Scripture does not forbid anger; it cautions us against allowing it to harden into resentment. Unresolved conflict creates distance, while honest repair restores closeness.
God uses conflict to reveal unmet needs, hidden wounds, and areas for growth. When couples learn to repair quickly, disagreement becomes an opportunity for deeper understanding.
This week is not about winning arguments — it is about protecting unity.
Reflection Questions
How do I usually respond to conflict?
What triggers defensiveness in me?
What helps me calm down and reconnect?
How can we support one another in staying open instead of defensive?
